Corrections Policy

How factual errors, unclear wording, and outdated references are handled.

What We Correct

We correct factual mistakes, broken source references, misleading wording, and outdated statements that could change a reader's understanding of an indicator or concept.

Minor style edits may be made without a formal note. Material changes to data context, page scope, or explanatory content should be reflected in the site updates log.

How To Report an Issue

Readers should use the contact page to report errors. The most useful reports include the page URL, the exact sentence or data point in question, and a link to the supporting source when available.

Editorial Standard

We would rather revise a page clearly than leave an inaccurate statement in place. That applies both to written explanations and to how source data is described on the site.
